The 50,000 square footCenter, built on 7 Acres of prime property in the Mohegan Lake areaof Westchester County, New York, recently opened its doors to thecommunity. The passing of Emad Al Jamal, beloved brother and son ofmembers of the Hudson Valley Muslim Community, on the first day ofRamadan in 1999 triggered the founding of the Center.Members of this community have been involved in Islamic andsocial responsibility projects for many years. The Hudson ValleyIslamic Community Center plans to continue in this path.
